Garlic Chicken Lo Mein

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add sliced chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-6 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.

Step 3: In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon oil. Add the mixed vegetables and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.

Step 4: Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 5: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Add the cooked noodles and stir everything together.

Step 6: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper. Pour over the noodle mixture and toss well to coat evenly.

Step 7: Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.

Step 8: Serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.

Storage Information

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in the microwave or in a skillet with a splash of water or soy sauce to loosen the noodles. This dish is not ideal for freezing, as the noodles can become mushy.
