Instructions
Step 1: Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season your steak bites with salt, pepper, and paprika on both sides.
Step 2: Once the oil is hot, sear the steak bites for 2 to 3 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove and set aside on a plate.
Step 3: In the same skillet, add the 2 tbsp butter and sliced garlic. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant and golden, then return the steak bites to coat them in the garlic butter sauce.
Step 4: While the steak cooks, bake your potato wedges or fries at 425°F for 20 to 25 minutes until golden and crispy, stirring halfway through.
Step 5: In a bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, and 1 tbsp olive oil vinegar. Toss gently and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Step 6: Plate everything together, arranging the garlic steak bites, crispy fries, and fresh cabbage salad on a plate. Spoon any remaining garlic butter over the steak and serve immediately.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftovers in separate airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Keep the steak bites, fries, and salad apart to prevent the salad from getting soggy.
Reheat the steak bites gently in a skillet over medium heat with a splash of butter to restore moisture. Crisp up the fries in a 375°F oven for about 5 minutes.
The cabbage salad is best enjoyed fresh, but you can make it up to a few hours ahead and refrigerate until serving. Add the vinegar dressing just before eating for maximum crunch.
