Instructions
Step 1: In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt.
Step 2: Spread the seasoned butter on one side of each bread slice.
Step 3: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet. Spread a spoonful of pizza sauce on the bread, sprinkle with mozzarella, add pepperoni slices, and top with more mozzarella. Cover with another bread slice, buttered side up.
Step 4: Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted.
Step 5: Repeat with remaining sandwiches. Slice and serve hot with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
Storage Information
Store leftover sandwiches in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet or oven for best texture. Avoid microwaving, as it may make the bread soggy.
