Instructions:
step 1 In a bowl, combine barbecue sauce, olive oil, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
step 2 Place the chicken fillets in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal or cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or overnight for best flavor.
step 3 Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
step 4 Remove chicken from the marinade and shake off excess. Grill for about 5-7 minutes per side, basting occasionally with extra barbecue sauce, until the chicken is fully cooked and has a nice char.
step 5 Let the grilled chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
step 6 Slice and serve hot with your favorite sides or use in wraps, sandwiches, or rice bowls.
Storage and Reheating Tips:
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat or microwave in 30-second intervals until warmed through. To keep the chicken moist, add a spoonful of barbecue sauce while reheating.
