Step 1: Spread peanut butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.

Step 2: Layer banana slices over one peanut butter-covered slice. Add a drizzle of honey or a light sprinkle of sea salt, if desired. Top with the second slice, peanut butter side down.

Step 3: Butter the outside of both slices of bread.

Step 4: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Grill the sandwich for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the inside is warm and gooey.

Step 5: Slice in half and serve immediately.

Storage Information

This sandwich is best enjoyed fresh off the skillet. However, you can prepare it ahead and store it wrapped in foil in the refrigerator for up to 1 day. Reheat in a skillet or toaster oven for best results. Not recommended for freezing due to the banana texture.
