Instructions
Step 1: Season your steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides about 15 minutes before cooking.
Step 2: Heat a skillet or grill to high heat and add the olive oil. Once smoking hot, place the steak down and sear for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, adjusting based on thickness and desired doneness.
Step 3: While the steak cooks, trim the green beans and toss with a pinch of salt and pepper. Steam or boil for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp, then set aside.
Step 4: For the garlic bread, mix the softened butter with minced garlic and dried parsley. Spread evenly on both bread slices.
Step 5: Top each bread slice with the shredded cheese mixture and place on a baking sheet. Toast under the broiler for 2-3 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Step 6: Arrange the steak, green beans, and garlic bread on a plate. Let the steak rest for 2 minutes before serving for maximum juiciness.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Leftover steak is best enjoyed within 3 days when stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Slice it thinly for easier reheating and to prevent overcooking.
To reheat, warm the steak gently in a skillet over medium-low heat for just a couple of minutes per side. Add a splash of beef broth to keep it moist and tender.
The garlic bread and green beans can be reheated in the oven at 350°F for about 5 minutes, keeping them crispy and fresh-tasting.
This meal doesn’t freeze well due to the delicate texture of the steak, so enjoy it fresh or plan to eat leftovers within a few days.
