Instructions:
step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
step 2: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until soft.
step 3: Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute, whisking constantly.
step 4: Slowly add milk while whisking to avoid lumps. Cook until the sauce thickens.
step 5: Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Remove from heat.
step 6: Spread a thin layer of béchamel sauce in the bottom of the baking dish.
step 7: Add a layer of lasagna sheets, followed by slices of ham, béchamel sauce, and a sprinkle of mozzarella.
step 8: Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with sauce and mozzarella on top.
step 9: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
step 10: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
step 11: Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped parsley.
