Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the brownies according to package directions. Let cool completely, then cut into small cubes.
Step 2: To make the cheesecake mousse, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until light and fluffy.
Step 3: For the ganache, heat heavy cream in a saucepan or microwave until just simmering. Pour over chocolate chips and let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth. Let cool slightly.
Step 4: In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer half the brownie cubes, half the cheesecake mousse, and half the chocolate ganache. Repeat the layers.
Step 5: Top with whipped cream, chocolate truffles, and chocolate shavings.
Storage Information
Cover and refrigerate the trifle for at least 2 hours before serving. Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days. This dessert is best served chilled and fresh, but still delicious the next day!
