Homemade Easy Cheesy Pizza Pockets

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: Roll out the dough and cut into rectangles (about 3×4 inches each).

Step 3: Spread a small spoonful of pizza sauce in the center of half the rectangles, leaving a border around the edges.

Step 4: Add a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese and a few mini pepperoni if using. Top with a pinch of Italian seasoning.

Step 5: Place a second piece of dough over the filled side and press the edges to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges.

Step 6: Brush the tops with beaten egg and place on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 7: Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.

Step 8: Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with dried basil or parsley if desired.

Storage Information

Store leftover pizza pockets in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for best texture. To freeze, cool completely and store in a freezer-safe bag for up to 2 months. Reheat from frozen at 350°F until warmed through.
