Homestyle Breakfast Plate with Sausage Patties & Tater Tots

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the sausage patties in a skillet over medium heat for 4-5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Set aside on a paper towel.

Step 2: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk together the eggs and milk in a bowl, then pour into the skillet.

Step 3: Scramble the eggs gently, stirring occasionally, until soft and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Transfer to your plate.

Step 4: Bake or air fry the frozen tater tots according to package directions until golden and crispy, usually 15-20 minutes.

Step 5: Warm your pancakes in a toaster or microwave, then place them on your plate.

Step 6: Drizzle the pancakes with maple syrup and arrange all components on a plate with the sausage patties and tater tots. Serve immediately while hot.

Storage and Reheating Tips

You can prepare the sausage and eggs in advance and store them in separate airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The tater tots also keep well when refrigerated for 2-3 days.

To reheat, warm the sausage and eggs in a skillet over low heat for 2-3 minutes. Reheat tater tots in a 375 degree F oven for about 5-7 minutes to restore their crispiness, or use an air fryer for best results.

Pancakes can be reheated in a toaster or toaster oven. Add fresh maple syrup just before serving for the best taste and texture.

For a make-ahead option, you can cook all components the night before and assemble everything fresh in the morning with minimal effort.
