Honey Garlic Shrimp, Sausage, and Broccoli: A Sweet and Savory Skillet Meal

Instructions

Step 1: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, vinegar, red pepper flakes, and a pinch of black pepper. Set aside.

Step 2: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium heat. Add broccoli and a splash of water. Cover and steam for 3–4 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Remove and set aside.

Step 3: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil and the sausage. Cook for 3–4 minutes until browned, then add the garlic and cook for 1 minute more.

Step 4: Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes, or until pink and cooked through.

Step 5: Return broccoli to the skillet and pour the honey garlic sauce over everything. Toss to coat and simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce is thickened and everything is heated through.

Step 6: Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions and serve hot over rice or noodles if desired.

Storage Information

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over low heat for best results. This dish is not ideal for freezing due to the texture of the shrimp and broccoli.
