- Replanting in a Pot: A Key Step
3.1 Once the first leaves appear and the stem is about 15 centimeters long, it’s time to move to a pot. Choose a 4-liter container with drainage holes, a layer of clay pebbles at the bottom, and lightweight, well-draining soil.

Allow the surface to dry between waterings to prevent root suffocation. The ideal soil is rich, loose, and well-drained, with a pH between 5 and 7.
In the first year, no fertilization is needed. After that, an all-purpose fertilizer for green plants once a month in spring and summer is enough to grow a healthy avocado at home.
