How to sharpen lawn mower blades?

In a small village in the southwest, my grandfather, a gardener at heart, had found a way to keep his lawnmower as efficient as the first day… without ever taking it to a workshop. His method? An unexpected combination of everyday objects, but one that was incredibly effective. He often said,  “Why complicate things when nature loves simplicity?”

What you need for this homemade sharpening technique

You only need a few simple items:

• A piece of sandpaper (medium to fine grit)
• Lubricant such as WD-40 or equivalent (multi-purpose oil)
• A set of socket wrenches (or a suitable open-end wrench)
• A very stable block of wood
• A good pair of protective gloves

This method works without  a grinder , without  a sharpening stone , and  only takes about 15 minutes  !
