Instructions
Step 1: If the crab legs are frozen, thaw them overnight in the refrigerator or rinse them under cold water until fully thawed.
Step 2: In a large skillet or saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Step 3: Stir in lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning (if using), crushed red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for another 1-2 minutes.
Step 4: Add the crab legs to the pan. Spoon the garlic butter over them and cover the pan. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning the legs halfway through to evenly coat with the butter sauce.
Step 5: Remove the lid and let cook uncovered for 2 more minutes if you want a more concentrated sauce.
Step 6: Sprinkle chopped parsley over the crab legs before serving. Serve with lemon wedges and extra garlic butter sauce on the side for dipping.
Storage Information
Store any leftover crab legs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently over low heat with a splash of water or butter to avoid drying out the meat. Freezing is not recommended after cooking, as it can affect the texture of the crab meat.
