A rocky road to glory

From her first steps on stage, Jennifer felt it was clear: the stage was her true calling. But the path to success proved fraught with challenges. Barely an adult, she found herself homeless , forced to sleep in a dance studio after a family conflict over her career choice. However, fate quickly smiled on her when she landed a dancing contract in Europe, before returning to triumph in the United States as Fly Girl on the cult show In Living Color .
Her career then took a decisive turn. In 1997, her masterful portrayal of Selena in the eponymous biopic earned her a Golden Globe nomination. It marked the beginning of a meteoric rise, alternating between cinematic success and musical exploits. Her debut album in 1999 propelled If You Had My Love to number one in record time.
