Karine Ferri and Grégory Lemarchal shared a two-year romance between 2005 and 2007. She came from reality TV, while he had established himself as a unique voice after winning Star Academy 4. Together, they formed a close and radiant couple, admired by the public. But in the shadows, cystic fibrosis was silently progressing.

On April 30, 2007, while he was hoping for a lung transplant that would not happen, Grégory Lemarchal confided a final wish to Karine Ferri:
