step 1 Start by preparing all your fillings — grill or fry the sausage and burger patty, cook the fries, and slice the fresh vegetables.
step 2 Hollow out the inside of the quarter loaf to create a pocket for the fillings.
step 3 Line the bottom with lettuce and tomato slices.
step 4 Add a layer of French fries over the vegetables.
step 5 Place the grilled sausage on top of the fries.
step 6 Add the burger patty and a slice of cheese.
step 7 Spoon over achar or pickles.
step 8 Generously drizzle ketchup, mayonnaise, and any other sauces you like.
step 9 Press everything down slightly, and serve hot.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Kota is best enjoyed fresh. If you need to store it, wrap tightly in foil and refrigerate for up to 1 day. Reheat in a toaster oven or conventional oven at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through. Avoid microwaving as it may make the bread soggy.
