Instructions:
step 1 Slice off the top of the bread loaf and hollow out the inside to create space for the fillings.
step 2 In a pan, grill the meats (steak, polony, baloney, or sausages) until nicely browned and cooked through.
step 3 If using an egg, fry it to your desired doneness and set aside.
step 4 Grill or toast the hollowed-out loaf and top lid lightly in a buttered pan or griddle for extra flavor and texture.
step 5 Begin layering your kota: start with a layer of fries at the base of the bread.
step 6 Add lettuce or cabbage if using, then stack on the grilled meats, cheese, and fried egg.
step 7 Drizzle generously with tomato sauce, barbecue sauce, creamy sauce, and chili or atchar.
step 8 Top with the grilled lid slice, secure with a skewer if needed, and serve immediately while hot and melty.
Storage and Reheating Tips:
Kota is best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored wrapped in foil in the fridge for up to 1 day. Reheat in the oven to maintain crispness. Avoid microwaving to keep the bread from getting soggy.
