Kota (South African Street Sandwich)

Instructions:
step 1 Cook beef patties until fully cooked and nicely browned.
step 2 Fry French fries in hot oil until golden and crispy. Season with salt.
step 3 Fry the egg to your desired doneness and season with salt and pepper.
step 4 Hollow out the quarter loaf of bread, removing most of the inside to create space for fillings.
step 5 Layer fries into the bottom of the loaf, followed by tomato sauce.
step 6 Add sliced cucumber, burger patties, and cheese slices.
step 7 Top with the fried egg and drizzle with spicy mayo or peri-peri sauce.
step 8 Garnish with chopped parsley, close the loaf, and secure with a skewer if needed. Serve hot.

Storage and Reheating Tips:
Kota is best eaten fresh. If needed, store meat, fries, and toppings separately for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet or oven, and assemble fresh to keep the bread from going soggy.
