step 1 In a skillet over medium heat, heat oil and sauté onions until soft. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
step 2 Add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened.
step 3 While the chili cooks, preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place hotdogs in buns and line them in a baking dish.
step 4 Spoon a generous amount of chili over each hotdog. Top with cheddar and mozzarella.
step 5 Bake uncovered for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
step 6 Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftover hotdogs in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F until warmed through. For a quicker option, microwave for 1-2 minutes, though the buns may soften.
