Step 1. Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and shape them into burger patties slightly larger than the buns. /n Step 2. Season both sides of each patty with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. /n Step 3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. /n Step 4. Cook the burger patties for about 3–4 minutes on the first side until a crust forms. /n Step 5. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each one, then cook for another 3–4 minutes until the cheese melts and the burgers reach your desired doneness. /n Step 6. Spread butter on the cut sides of the brioche buns and toast them in a skillet until golden brown. /n Step 7. In a small bowl mix mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard to create a simple burger sauce. /n Step 8. Spread the sauce on the bottom bun. /n Step 9. Stack two cheesy burger patties on the bun, add pickle slices between the layers, and finish with the top bun. /n Step 10. Serve immediately while the cheese is hot and melted.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftover burger patties in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat the patties in a skillet over medium heat until warmed through. Toast fresh buns when serving for the best texture and flavor. Avoid microwaving the assembled burger to keep the bread from becoming soggy.
