“Lucy passed away peacefully. She wasn’t alone. Her mother, my mother, and I were by her side.”

Behind her apparent vitality, Lucy had been battling a cerebral arteriovenous malformation (AVM) for several years . This rare condition results from an abnormal tangle of blood vessels in the brain , which can cause hemorrhages, severe headaches, and even irreversible damage.
Despite several interventions, the disease eventually won. Lucy continued to work courageously, according to her family and her agency , refusing to let her condition dictate her life.
