An extraordinary pregnancy
Expecting quadruplets is no easy feat. Erica’s pregnancy quickly becomes overwhelming. Carlos, loving and devoted, takes care of her attentively, managing her daily routine with tenderness . Preparing meals, cleaning, supporting her day after day… he is there every moment.
But on January 12, 2015, everything changed.
A birth marked by tragedy
That day, Erica was hospitalized for high blood pressure. The doctors decided to urgently induce labor. Carlos joined her in the maternity ward. Together, they took photos and recorded videos, immortalizing what they believed to be a joyous moment.
The quadruplets are born healthy: three girls and one boy. But moments later, Erica collapses. Suffering from hypovolemic shock , she’s losing too much blood. Carlos, helpless, is asked to wait outside the room. An hour later, a doctor tells him the unimaginable: Erica is dead.
