Step 1 Season the beef patty with salt and black pepper on both sides. /n
Step 2 Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat with olive oil and cook the patty for about 3–4 minutes per side until nicely browned. /n
Step 3 During the final minute of cooking, place the cheddar cheese slice on the patty and allow it to melt. /n
Step 4 In a small pan fry the egg in butter until the whites are set and the yolk remains slightly soft. /n
Step 5 Warm the pulled beef in a small pan or microwave until heated through. /n
Step 6 Butter the brioche bun and toast it on a skillet until golden. /n
Step 7 Spread mayonnaise and burger sauce on the bottom bun. /n
Step 8 Place the cheeseburger patty on the bun, then add the fried egg on top. /n
Step 9 Layer the warm pulled beef over the egg and add the mozzarella or provolone slice so it slightly melts from the heat. /n
Step 10 Top with crispy fried onions, place the top bun over the stack, and serve immediately.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftover burger components separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat the beef patty and pulled beef in a skillet over medium heat until warmed through. Toast fresh buns before assembling the burger again to keep the texture crisp and prevent sogginess.
