It all begins on an ordinary Tuesday, a day devoted to laundry and superhero-patterned underwear. As she leisurely folds her laundry, Laurence looks up and finds herself faced with an unexpected sight: a collection of women’s underwear displayed like trophies. Provocative lace, brightly colored thongs, pieces so delicate they looked like they came straight out of a dollhouse… all floating ostentatiously outside her son Hugo’s bedroom window.
“Mom, what’s that pink thing? A slingshot for girls?” the child asks, his eyes shining with curiosity. Embarrassed but amused, Laurence tries to dodge the question, but faced with her son’s growing insistence, she realizes she needs to find a more permanent solution.
When diplomacy fails and humor becomes the best response

As the days go by, the morning spectacle continues. Laurence tries the diplomatic approach. She knocks on the door of her neighbor Julie and politely explains how her less-than-discreet underwear is disturbing the family peace. Julie’s response is scathing: “It’s just laundry! If your son asks questions, take the opportunity to give him sex education!” she says with a smirk, before adding that Laurence would do better to review her parenting principles .
