Step 1 Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet.

Step 2 Roast the hazelnuts for about 10–12 minutes until fragrant and the skins begin to crack.

Step 3 Remove the hazelnuts from the oven and rub them in a clean kitchen towel to remove most of the skins.

Step 4 Place the peeled hazelnuts in a food processor and blend until they turn into a smooth hazelnut butter.

Step 5 Add powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and salt, then continue blending until well combined.

Step 6 Pour in the melted milk chocolate, vanilla extract, and oil, then blend again until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.

Step 7 Taste and adjust sweetness if desired by adding a little more powdered sugar.

Step 8 Transfer the Nutella spread into a clean jar and let it cool completely before sealing.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store the Nutella in an airtight jar at room temperature for up to 1 week or in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks. If it thickens after refrigeration, allow it to sit at room temperature for a few minutes or gently warm it to restore its smooth, spreadable texture.
