Instructions
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
Step 2. Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels.
Step 3. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Step 4. Toss the drumsticks until evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
Step 5. Arrange the drumsticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Step 6. Bake for 30 minutes.
Step 7. While the chicken bakes, combine the orange juice, orange zest, honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic in a saucepan.
Step 8. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
Step 9. Stir in the butter and cook for 3–4 minutes.
Step 10. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
Step 11. Add the slurry to the glaze and cook until slightly thickened.
Step 12. Remove the chicken from the oven and brush generously with the orange garlic glaze.
Step 13. Return the drumsticks to the oven and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes.
Step 14. Brush the drumsticks with more glaze halfway through cooking.
Step 15. Continue baking until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the glaze is caramelized.
Step 16. Arrange orange slices on a serving platter.
Step 17. Place the glazed chicken drumsticks over the orange slices.
Step 18. Spoon any remaining glaze over the chicken.
Step 19. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftover chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
Reheat in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 10–15 minutes or until heated through.
Store extra glaze separately and brush over the chicken before reheating for added moisture.
Cooked chicken can be frozen for up to 3 months.
Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating for best results.
