Step 1: Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) or heat oil in a skillet if frying.
Step 2: In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, Pepper Jack cheese, cream cheese, salsa, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Step 3: Warm tortillas slightly to make them pliable. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of filling onto each tortilla and roll tightly.
Step 4: Place taquitos seam-side down on a baking sheet. Brush lightly with oil if baking. Bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy and golden, or fry in hot oil until crisp.
Step 5: Serve hot with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole on the side.
Storage Information
Store leftover taquitos in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for the crispiest results. Freeze unbaked taquitos for up to 2 months and bake straight from frozen, adding a few extra minutes.
