Instructions

Step 1: Cook rotini pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess grease.
Step 3: Add diced onion, green and red bell peppers, and cook for 4-5 minutes until vegetables are tender.
Step 4: Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
Step 5: Add soy sauce, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine.
Step 6: Pour in beef broth and bring to a simmer. If using, stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens.
Step 7: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
Step 8: Serve hot, garnished with extra black pepper if desired.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat or in the microwave until warmed through. Add a splash of water or broth if needed to loosen the sauce.
