Instructions:
step 1: In a large skillet or slow cooker, add the Lil’ Smokies sausages.
step 2: Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the sausages.
step 3: Add the drained pineapple chunks on top.
step 4: In a small bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper if using.
step 5: Pour the sauce mixture over the sausages and pineapple.
step 6: If using a slow cooker, cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours or until everything is heated through and the sauce is bubbly. If using a skillet, cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 15-20 minutes.
step 7: Stir well before serving to coat everything evenly in the sauce.
step 8: Serve warm with toothpicks for easy snacking.
Storage and Reheating Tips:
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat, place in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through, or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring each time. These bites also freeze well for up to 2 months; thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.
