Instructions:
Step 1: In a bowl, combine the ground beef, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and form into 4 equal patties.
Step 2: Cook the patties in a skillet or on a grill over medium heat for 4-5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked.
Step 3: In the last minute of cooking, spoon about 2 tablespoons of marinara sauce over each patty, then top with shredded mozzarella and a few pepperoni slices. Cover with a lid to melt the cheese.
Step 4: Meanwhile, toast the burger buns with a little butter in a skillet or under the broiler until golden.
Step 5: Assemble the burgers by placing the cheesy, pepperoni-topped patties onto the buns. Add extra marinara or herbs if desired.
Step 6: Serve hot with fries, chips, or a side salad for the ultimate pizza-burger experience.
Storage Information:
Store leftover patties (without buns) in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave. Assemble fresh buns when ready to serve to keep them from getting soggy.
