Pizza Grilled Cheese Recipe

Instructions

Step 1: Lay out the bread slices. Spread butter on one side of each slice. The buttered sides will be the outer layers.

Step 2: Flip the slices over and on the unbuttered side, spread a spoonful of pizza sauce.

Step 3: Add 1-2 slices of mozzarella cheese and a layer of pepperoni. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning if desired.

Step 4: Top with another slice of mozzarella and close with another slice of bread, sauce side in and butter side out.

Step 5: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the skillet, cooking 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Step 6: Slice and serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.

Storage Information

These sandwiches are best enjoyed fresh off the skillet. If needed, store leftovers wrapped in foil or in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet or toaster oven for the best crispness. Not recommended for freezing.
