Instructions

Step 1: Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each bread slice. Sprinkle the buttered sides lightly with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.

Step 2: On the unbuttered side of 4 slices, spread a spoonful of marinara sauce. Top with mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices.

Step 3: Place the remaining bread slices on top, buttered side facing out.

Step 4: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until the bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.

Step 5: Remove from skillet, let cool slightly, then slice and serve with extra marinara for dipping if desired.

Storage Information

Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be wrapped in foil and refrigerated for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet or toaster oven for the crispiest texture.
