A Daily Nature Connection
Planting seeds and watching them grow connects you to nature’s rhythm. Tending your plant offers daily peace and mindfulness.
Step-by-Step: Grow a Lemon in a Cup
No fancy tools are needed. A kitchen lemon, a cup, and a sunny spot are enough to begin.
Step 1: Choose the Right Lemon
- Opt for an organic lemon if possible. Non-organic ones might be coated with chemicals affecting germination.
- Select a fresh, ripe fruit. Older, dried lemons might not sprout.
Step 2: Extract and Clean the Seeds
- Cut the lemon and remove several seeds as not all will germinate.
- Rinse seeds under lukewarm water to clear away pulp and juice.
- Gently peel the thin outer seed coat using your fingernail or a small knife tip to speed up sprouting.
