Fruit flies appear whenever ripe or rotting fruit is present. They lay their eggs in sinks, garbage cans, and drains.

An effective method: the vinegar trap

1. Take a bowl and pour in:
   • 3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
   • 1 drop of dishwashing liquid
   • (Optional) A piece of overripe fruit
2. Cover with plastic wrap and pierce small holes.
3. Place the trap where you observe flies.
