Instructions:
Step 1: In a blender, combine the strawberries and 1 cup of water. Blend until smooth.
Step 2: Strain the strawberry puree through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove seeds (optional).
Step 3: Add the lemon juice and sugar to the pitcher. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Step 4: Add the remaining 3 cups of cold water and stir to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as desired.
Step 5: Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Step 6: Serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices, strawberry halves, and mint leaves if desired.
Storage Information:
Store leftover strawberry lemonade in a sealed pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Stir before serving, as separation is natural. For longer storage, freeze in ice cube trays and use to chill future drinks without watering them down.
