step 1 Preheat your oven to 350°F 175°C and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish /n
step 2 In a bowl combine the cake mix melted butter and 1 egg then mix until a thick dough forms /n
step 3 Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust /n
step 4 In another bowl whisk together ricotta cheese eggs sugar vanilla extract and lemon zest until smooth /n
step 5 Pour the ricotta mixture over the crust and spread evenly /n
step 6 Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden /n
step 7 Remove from the oven and allow it to cool completely before slicing /n
step 8 Dust with powdered sugar before serving
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Serve chilled or at room temperature. This dessert can also be frozen for up to 2 months and thawed overnight in the refrigerator before serving.
