Rocky Road Chocolate Fudge Bars

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat your oven according to brownie mix instructions and prepare a baking pan. /n
Step 2: Prepare and bake the brownie batter as directed on the package. /n
Step 3: Remove brownies from the oven and immediately sprinkle mini marshmallows evenly over the top. /n
Step 4: Return to the oven for 2–3 minutes until marshmallows begin to soften. Remove and set aside. /n
Step 5: In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter, chocolate chips, and heavy cream, stirring until smooth. /n
Step 6: Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and chopped nuts if using. /n
Step 7: Pour the chocolate mixture evenly over the marshmallow layer and spread gently. /n
Step 8: Allow bars to cool completely at room temperature or refrigerate until set. /n
Step 9: Slice into squares and serve.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to 1 week. These bars can also be frozen for up to 2 months; thaw before serving. For a gooey texture, warm slightly in the microwave before eating.
