Salisbury Steak

Instructions:
step 1 In a large bowl, mix together all steak patty ingredients until just combined. Shape into 4 oval patties.
step 2 Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the patties for 3-4 minutes per side until browned (they don’t need to be fully cooked). Remove and set aside.
step 3 In the same skillet, add olive oil and butter. Sauté mushrooms and onions until soft and lightly golden, about 6-8 minutes.
step 4 Sprinkle flour over the vegetables, stir well, and cook for 1 minute.
step 5 Gradually add beef broth while stirring, then add Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard. Simmer until the gravy thickens.
step 6 Return the patties to the skillet and spoon gravy over them. Cover and simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes, until the patties are cooked through.
step 7 Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired, over mashed potatoes or rice.

Storage and Reheating Tips:
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of broth if needed to loosen the gravy. You can also microwave in short bursts until warmed through.
