Sausage Egg and Cheese Breakfast Melt

Instructions

Step 1: Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.

Step 2: Form the breakfast sausage into sandwich-sized patties.

Step 3: Cook the sausage patties for 4–5 minutes per side until browned and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.

Step 4: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt, and black pepper.

Step 5: Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in the skillet and scramble the eggs until fluffy and cooked through.

Step 6: Spread mayonnaise lightly on one side of each bread slice and sprinkle with garlic powder.

Step 7: Place the bread slices butter-side down onto the skillet or griddle.

Step 8: Layer cheese, sausage patties, scrambled eggs, and another slice of cheese onto two slices of bread.

Step 9: Top with the remaining bread slices.

Step 10: Cook the sandwiches for 2–3 minutes per side until the bread is deeply golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Step 11: Press gently with a spatula while cooking for an extra crispy melt.

Step 12: Slice and serve immediately while hot and cheesy.

Storage and Reheating Tips

Store leftover breakfast melts wrapped tightly in foil or an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Reheat in a skillet or air fryer for the crispiest texture.

Microwave reheating works for convenience but may soften the bread.

These sandwiches can also be frozen individually for up to 1 month and reheated directly from frozen.
