Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sausage, baking mix, shredded cheddar cheese, pimento cheese spread, diced pimentos, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
Step 3: Mix thoroughly with your hands or a stand mixer until all ingredients are evenly incorporated and the mixture holds together.
Step 4: Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions and roll them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
Step 5: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through. Internal temperature should reach at least 160°F (71°C).
Step 6: Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Storage Information
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven until warmed through. These sausage balls also freeze well—store them in a freezer-safe bag or container for up to 2 months. Reheat straight from frozen in a 350°F oven for about 15 minutes.
