Instructions
step 1 In a bowl, toss the sliced beef with cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
step 2 In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, brown sugar, and rice vinegar to make the stir-fry sauce.
step 3 Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add beef in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
step 4 In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil and sauté the onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
step 5 Return the beef to the skillet and pour the stir-fry sauce over everything. Toss to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
step 6 Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately with rice or noodles if desired.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in a skillet over medium heat or in the microwave until warmed through. For best texture, avoid overcooking during reheating.
