Instructions
Step 1: In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the hamburger meat and ground pork sausage. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking up the meat as it cooks. Remove from the pan and set aside.
Step 2: In the same pan, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Sauté the onion, bell peppers, celery, and garlic until softened and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
Step 3: Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until pink and cooked through.
Step 4: Return the cooked meats to the pan with the vegetables and shrimp. Stir in the cooked rice, Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until well combined and heated through.
Step 5: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot.
Storage Information
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop. For longer storage, you can freeze portions for up to 2 months and thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.
