Shrimp Dirty Rice

Instructions

Step 1: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add hamburger meat and ground pork sausage. Cook until browned and crumbled, draining excess fat if needed.

Step 2: Add diced onion, bell peppers, celery, and garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until softened.

Step 3: Stir in Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Add the cooked rice and toss everything together until well mixed. Keep warm on low heat.

Step 4: In a separate skillet, sear the shrimp over medium-high heat for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Season lightly with Cajun seasoning if desired.

Step 5: Fold the shrimp into the dirty rice or serve on top. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions.

Storage Information

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat on the stovetop or in the microwave until heated through.
