Soft Banana Cinnamon Rolls

Instructions

Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

Step 2: Add sugar, melted butter, mashed banana, salt, and 2 cups of the flour. Mix until combined.

Step 3: Gradually add the remaining flour, kneading until a soft, elastic dough forms (about 6-8 minutes by hand or 4-5 minutes with a mixer).

Step 4: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Step 5: Roll out the dough into a 16×10-inch rectangle. Spread softened butter over the surface. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle over the butter. Add nuts if using.

Step 6: Roll up the dough tightly from the long side and cut into 12 equal rolls. Place in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 7: Cover and let rise again for 30-45 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350°F.

Step 8: Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly.

Step 9: Whisk together glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
