Instructions
step 1: In a bowl, mix ground beef with chopped onion, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, salt, pepper, egg, and breadcrumbs until well combined.
step 2: Form the mixture into 6-8 small round patties.
step 3: Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the patties for 4-5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Set aside.
step 4: In the same skillet, add remaining oil and sauté sliced onions and bell peppers until softened and slightly caramelized, about 6-8 minutes.
step 5: Return the patties to the pan, pour in the beef broth or water, and simmer everything together for 5-7 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
step 6: Spoon the onions and peppers over the patties and serve hot with rice, mashed potatoes, or flatbread.
Storage and Reheating Tips.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in a skillet over low heat with a splash of water or broth, or microwave gently until heated through. For freezing, wrap patties individually and store sautéed vegetables separately for best texture upon reheating.
