Instructions
Step 1: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water until smooth.
Step 2: Season the sliced beef lightly with salt and black pepper.
Step 3: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
Step 4: Add the beef in batches and sear quickly until browned. Remove and set aside.
Step 5: Add the remaining oil to the skillet and stir-fry the sliced onion for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly softened.
Step 6: Stir in the minced garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 7: Return the beef to the skillet along with the chopped green onions.
Step 8: Pour the prepared sauce over the beef mixture and toss well until everything is evenly coated.
Step 9: Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and the green onions are tender.
Step 10: Sprinkle sesame seeds over the stir fry before serving hot.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftover beef stir fry in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat in a skillet over medium heat or in the microwave until warmed through.
Add a splash of water while reheating if the sauce becomes too thick.
Serve leftovers with freshly cooked rice or noodles for the best texture and flavor.
