Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400°F. In a small bowl, combine BBQ sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Mix until smooth.
Step 2: Pat the drumsticks dry and season generously with salt and pepper. Arrange them on a baking sheet lined with foil.
Step 3: Brush the BBQ glaze evenly over each drumstick, coating all sides. Bake for 30 minutes, then flip and brush with more glaze. Bake another 15-20 minutes until the coating is sticky and caramelized.
Step 4: While the chicken bakes, toss potato fries with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread on a separate baking sheet and bake at 400°F for 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy.
Step 5: For the slaw, combine shredded cabbage and grated carrot in a large bowl. In a small bowl, whisk together mayo, vinegar, and sugar until smooth.
Step 6: Pour the creamy dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss until well coated. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 7: Plate the sticky drumsticks with crispy fries alongside and a generous scoop of fresh slaw. Serve immediately and enjoy.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Store leftover drumsticks in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The fries and slaw are best enjoyed fresh, but fries can be stored separately for up to 2 days.
To reheat drumsticks, place them on a foil-lined baking sheet and warm at 350°F for 10-12 minutes until heated through. For a crispier finish, increase the temperature to 400°F for 8 minutes.
Fries can be reheated in a 400°F oven for 5-7 minutes or in an air fryer for faster results. Fresh slaw is always better made just before serving, so prepare the coleslaw close to mealtime for maximum crunch.
