Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
Step 2: In a large bowl, mix the white cake mix, pureed strawberries, vegetable oil, eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Step 3: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
Step 4: Bake for 28–32 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely in the pan.
Step 5: To make the frosting, beat the softened butter until smooth. Add the chopped strawberries and mix until combined.
Step 6: Gradually beat in the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until the frosting is light and fluffy.
Step 7: Once the cake is completely cool, spread the strawberry frosting evenly over the top. Slice and serve.
Storage Information
Store leftover strawberry sheet cake covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. For longer storage, you can freeze the frosted cake slices individually for up to 2 months. Thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
