step 1 Steam broccoli florets for 4-5 minutes until tender but still bright green. Set aside.
step 2 Heat olive oil or butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
step 3 Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook sunny-side up until the whites are set but yolks remain runny, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
step 4 Arrange steamed broccoli and avocado slices on a plate.
step 5 Add the sunny-side-up eggs alongside.
step 6 Sprinkle additional seasonings if desired and serve immediately.
Storage and Reheating Tips
This dish is best enjoyed fresh. However, if needed, you can steam extra broccoli and store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat broccoli gently in the microwave. Eggs are best cooked fresh, and avocado should be sliced just before serving to avoid browning.
